After moving to Santa Barbara for college, Johanna Zlenko helped open up a shop called “The Closet.” Within a few months she took ownership of the business while continuing her education at UCSB. She Graduated in 2007 with her BA in Global Studies. She’s received industry recognition as the recipient of the 40 under 40 award by Pacific Coast Business Times, Recipient of Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award, Inductee of Women’s Economic Ventures Inaugural Million Dollar Club, and an active member in the Entrepreneur’s Organization. With four locations now open in California she brings extensive experience in business development in the retail industry, management, marketing & advertising, operations, sales & event management and of course retail styles & trends.

Taylor Lambert joined The Closet Trading Company™ in 2008 as a sales associate at the Santa Barbara shop. The operational capacity that Taylor brought to the business reinforced the growth potential, and after finishing school for Applied and Professional Ethics at UCSB she was later promoted to VP of Operations and cultivated a unique and healthy culture through her proven leadership abilities. Now Chief Operations Officer – She is a critical part of all store openings and our strategic growth. She brings extensive knowledge of day-to-day operational management and activities, in-store experiences, local brand marketing, and the latest in new styles & trends.
